Since 2010, Dry Zone Greening Department has been implementing e-Government development activities in accordance with the guidances of Union Minister Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and the Myanmar e-Government Master Plan (2016-2020). The functions of the department could now effectively be facilitated by ICT, not only for the information and data sharing of office letters, reports, numerical data and photo records for communication with International organizations and meetings and conferences via online.
The department is also sending the staffs who are carrying out e-Government related activities to attend ICT related capacity building trainings organized by line ministries, departments and organizations.
The informating relating to department’s work plans, events, trainings, tender announcements, progress reports are now being updated in the official website of the department (www.dryzonegreening.gov.mm). Under the Government Personnel Management System (GPMS) component, profiles and detailed information of the department’s officials/staffs are also uploaded in line with the directives of MoNREC and this information is being updated periodically.
